ITALY, Milan : Grand opening of the very first Roger Vivier high end accessories and shoes shop in Milan. SYNTHE – Bruno Frisoni, artistic director of Roger Vivier DOPESHEET After Paris, Hong Kong, London and New York, Roger Vivier, the name in luxury footwear and accessories, continues his international expansion opening a new shop on via Santa Andrea in Milan. The label (owned by Diego della Valle, who also owns Tod’s) whose artistic director is Bruno Frisoni, has just settled in a 250m² space laid out over 3 levels. There you can find the whole range (shoes, glasses, handbags…) in a soft, modern and eclectic setting. INTERVIEW (in french) with Bruno Frisoni, artistic director of Roger Vivier: “We’ve been in shops like Corso Como Dieci and Biffi for a while in several Italian towns, and it’s true it’s a very recognisable buckle, it’s the very sophisticated side in this work, this French humour linked to a sort of sophistication, with a more classic than aggressive spirit, and well seen here. I think it’s really a niche product so the shop was envisaged more as a private place. The shop has a surface area of 250m² over 3 levels, with a level for the showroom and offices so it’s a big space but intimate at the same time.
